More than twenty organisations and institutions are currently involved in PRéRAD-OI. They represent local public institutions, research and higher education institutions in each of the territories of the south-west Indian Ocean, technical institutions and non-governmental organisations that support farmers on a daily basis and promote environmentally-friendly or even agro-ecological farming practices.   • Madagascar

    Madagascar
    PRéRAD-OI's main Malagasy partners since its inception have been the Malagasy Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, the National Centre for Applied Research in Rural Development, which is a member and partner respectively of the scientific skills networks in the south-west Indian Ocean and regional cooperation projects in this area, the University of Antanarivo and the Higher School of Agronomic Sciences (ESSA), FIFATA/Ceffel, FIFAMANOR and the non-governmental organisation Initiative Développement ID*, which is represented in Madagascar and the Comoros.
  • Mauritius

    Mauritius
    The main Mauritian partners of PRéRAD-OI, since its creation, are seven, namely the Mauritian Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security, the Mauritian Chamber of Agriculture (MCA), the Mauritian Agricultural and Food Research and Extension Institute (FAREI), the Mauritius Agricultural and Food Research and Extension Institute (FAREI), the Mauritius Sugar Cane Research Institute (MSIRI) which is involved for the development of the Mauritian sugar cane industry, the association "Le Vélo Vert" which promotes agro-ecological and organic farming, the GEF (Small grant programme) and, recently, CAP Business OI.
  • Reunion island (France)

    Reunion island (France)
    The main partners of PRéRAD-OI in La Réunion (France) are the "Direction de l'Alimentation, de l'Agriculture et de la Forêt", the Réunion Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives, the network of professional agricultural establishments in southern Africa and the Indian Ocean (REAP - AAOI), the University of La Réunion and, of course, Cirad in La Réunion, which leads and coordinates the platform, PRéRAD-OI, since its setting-up.
  • Seychelles

    Seychelles
    PRéRAD-OI's main partners in Seychelles is the Seychelles Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment (MACCE) (which has absorbed the Seychelles Agriculture Agency and the National Biosafety Agency, both historically PRéRAD-OI partners).
  • Comoros

    Comoros
    PRéRAD-OI's main partners, who are key players in the sustainable agricultural development of the Union of the Comoros, are the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and the Environment (MAPE), the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and the Environment (INRAPE), which is a partner in several regional scientific cooperation projects and several skills networks in the south-west Indian Ocean, the NGO Dahari and the University of the Comoros.
