PRéRAD-OI's main Malagasy partners since its inception have been the Malagasy Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, the National Centre for Applied Research in Rural Development, which is a member and partner respectively of the scientific skills networks in the south-west Indian Ocean and regional cooperation projects in this area, the University of Antanarivo and the Higher School of Agronomic Sciences (ESSA), FIFATA/Ceffel, FIFAMANOR and the non-governmental organisation Initiative Développement ID*, which is represented in Madagascar and the Comoros.

The Malagasy Ministry of Agriculture guides and implements policies in the fields of agriculture, livestock and fisheries, and agronomic research, with a priority focus on food security and adaptation to climate change.

The University of Antananarivo is the main institution of higher education in Madagascar. Within the University, the Agronomy School (ESSA) trains professionals, researchers and decision-makers in the fields of agronomy and natural resource management.

FIFATA / Ceffel

Created in 1989, FIFATA is a Malagasy Professional Umbrella Organization (OPF) defending family, professional and competitive agriculture and supports farmers organizations in Madagascar.

Within FIFATA, the Ceffel association promotes the fruit and vegetable sectors in Madagascar by strengthening the skills of agricultural advisers and rural trainers.
